Alex Bagheri is a Dallas-based jazz and R&B musician whose unique style and modern approach to classic sounds have converted a new generation of jazz fans. His signature soundscapes are often sparse, heavily modal, and often feature traditional jazz instrumentation with a shockingly organic vocoder lead. Alex draws influences from Robert Glasper, Bill Evans, and Albert Ayler, specifically in his use of textures and atmospheres to create moods and emotions that are often difficult to express with traditional songwriting.

Alex has performed at venues all over Texas and Oklahoma, including SoHo Food & Jazz, Ascension Coffee, Jaxx Steakhouse, The Prophet Bar, Drugstore Cowboy, High & Tight, and the UCO Jazz Lab. He’s been in many local groups, including Black Vega, the Chris Ray Jazz Trio, LUVBUG, and Whyeye. He’s worked with many of the biggest acts in Dallas, such as Dwayne Berry (Celestial Clockwork), Buzz & The Geminis, Stephan Cohen (The Bombs), Tim Heanu, Lamont Taylor, and Griffin Lewin.
